Thank you Rebel. Family is so important. My daughter and I have our special rituals we started when she was very young. Now she is 26 when she comes to visit no matter how much we talk after everyone goes to bed she still comes into my room climbs into bed and we talk well into the morning hours about everything, nothing, anything, sillyness. Just like old times. Both of my kids still bring up things we did together when they were small some of which I had forgotten but they remember. It is those memories you are creating.

I started a slow retirement at 50. I have had the same clients since day one. At 50 I decided to fire one half of my clients, well that went over like a lead balloon. They understood but were not to happy. At 55 a few more went bye bye. Then at 62, three years ago, I decided this is it time to make the final cut. So I called group of clients, now the majority of them understood but one. The conversation went like this. Me: do you have a couple of minutes. Client: sure. Me: I will be retiring in 6 months for good. Client : I do not have time to talk to you today. Me: ok, maybe tomorrow will be better. Client: yes we will resume this discussion tomorrow.
The next morning I opened my bank account and found a deposit in my account client had increased my monthly payment by 25%. That day he said we are the same age so when I decide to retire you may retire. After 25 years I am not about to get used to dealing with someone new.

For any victims of abuse by Elders/Watchtower
by nicolaou inif you are still holding on to your story and struggling alone please, please consider speaking up now.
the australian royal commission into child abuse has shown that these enquiries are not toothless and can in fact make a difference, but only if they are empowered by brave individuals like you.. now it's the turn of the uk.
yes, there's been a few false starts but now is the time to tell them what happened.

Being brave and talking about the abuse serves three purposes. It will most importantly get a predator off the streets. Secondly it will expose these awful policies practiced by the WT. Third, although I was never sexually abused but suffered sever physical and emotional abuse as a child and adult, I dealt with it as a previous poster stated by putting it behind me and ignoring it. At the age of 65 there was one trigger that set everything in motion and all the memories. It is now taking a major toll on me and for the first time I am having to actually confront and deal with it through serious therapy.

If this lady were in a KH, I would dial 911 in a heart beat if that went on.
When I raised my children and now I watch my grandchildren 5 days a week all I do is say their names get their attention and say "I just don't think you want to be doing THAT". After a while all I have to do is say their name and they know to change what they are doing. I never hit my kids and I do not plan to hit my grandkids.
Those who hit someone smaller then them are bullies.

Zeb,
Do we have a list of performers? Well I guess I should say WT people who will be testifying but as we all know it will turn into a theoretical performance of lies upon lies. They will use all forms of verbal gymnastics to avoid answering any question directly.

When you were an active WT door knocker... How did you knock?
by LoisLane looking for Superman inon the door frame, on the door, door knocker, bell.. loud, very loud, regular, soft... gentle... or just pretended and never knocked at all?
we just had a city worker come a knocking on our front door and my responce after she left was, she should go down to the local kingdom haul and give lessons.
her knock was so loud, she could raise the dead.

Never a JW and before I knew what the JW was all about. I had a very large sign next to my door that said Absolutely no solicitation. For some reason theymanaged to target my house in the month of January well this is a very heavy TAX month and I work from home and my patience is all but gone. Single mom with 2 teenagers, who thinks I am their personal chauffeur on a moments notice while working close to 80 hours a week. I don't have time for some fools who as I open the door I point out very bluntly while pointing to the sign the library offers classes in reading, I am extremely busy in my office and I do not need what you are selling. Their response was we are here to share a Bible reading. My response find me 8 husbands to help keep up with all the stuff that "I" need to fix and do in this house and can't find the time to do. Boy did they exit the property fast.

I am so sorry you were involved in this accident. I hope everything will be ok with your hand.
Simon, you got a few dislikes for your comment there. Honesty here! How many speeding tickets have you gotten? How many accidents have you been involved in?
